Montreal band the Dears have been a consistent thrill for me since I first heard them four years ago. And they reaffirmed their awesomeness tonight at the Hiro in Manhattan. (Excellent venue, btw.) Their music is just short of art rock--most of the songs sound like rehashings of Radiohead's "Exit Music," but I don't see a problem with that. New album: "Missiles," very highly recommended.
There are so many bad bands in the world. I can't even begin to count them. But I saw at least 2 tonight. HOME, PLEASE!
Haven't done a cat blog in a while. I've had my leg on Maud the cat for the last 20 minutes. She seems very pleased by this. I would have expected claws.
I may not get out of bed today.
Getting a few hours sleep at a rest area on the roadside. Better that I sleep here now than whilst actually driving. I think I might try to write the new Georg Jorvic-Englarssön solo record as I drift off. If you don't know what that means, you don't know me.
